Spring Sing
Each year in the spring term, the Hub hosts a singing event in partnership with The Glasshouse ICM. Children learn songs in school with their class teacher and then get the opportunity to perform on Sage One, the main stage at the Glasshouse ICM, in front of friends and family. Each year over 600 children from 20 schools get the chance to take part. Click here for more info.

Different Voices
The Different Voices is a singing project led by South Tyneside Music Service. It is designed to encourage children aged 10-11 to take up singing and support transition to secondary schools. It focuses on harmony singing, children having fun and developing a sense of ‘belonging’ that comes when joining with others and singing in parts.

Side by Side Arts Children's Choir
A choir for children aged 5 - 11 of all abilities based in Bensham, run in partnership with the Music Hub. Free to attend but with a suggested donation of £40/term. Fridays 4.30-5.30pm

Voices of the Rivers Edge
Voices of the Rivers Edge is a choir based at The Glasshouse ICM, open to anyone aged 18-35 – whether you’ve had a career of choir experience or you’re a singing starter, you’ll be welcome in VOTRE. You don’t need to read music to join, sign up and our fantastic choir directors will guide you from there.

Quay Voices
Based at The Glasshouse ICM, Quay Voices are a mixed voice group for anyone aged 13-18, singing lots of different styles of music suitable for lots of different voices.

Foundation Singing
Foundation Singing is a choir based at the Glasshouse ICM for children aged 4-8, that balances introduction to singing with fun activities and rhythm games.

National Youth Choir of Great Britain
If you have a passion and talent for singing with others that you want to take to the highest level, along with a readiness to learn, then a National Youth Choir audition can be the start of something amazing for you. NYCGB passionately believe that choral singing is for everyone and strongly encourage all talented young singers from all backgrounds and musical styles to audition for their choirs.
