Music Lessons, Tuition & Youth Music Opportunities in Gateshead

Gateshead Music Hub is a partnership of organisations and schools which engage with children and young people in music making across our local authority. Our aim is to work together to create joined-up music education provision, respond to local need and fulfil the objectives as set out in the

National Plan for Music Education.

The Gateshead Music Hub partnership provides high‑quality music lessons, instrumental tuition, and inclusive music‑making opportunities for children and young people. We work in partnership with schools, families and cultural organisations to ensure every learner has access to whole‑class music, small‑group tuition, 1‑to‑1 instrumental lessons, ensembles and inspiring creative pathways.

As part of the North East Music Hub network, we deliver a joined‑up approach to music education that supports the National Plan for Music Education. Our programmes ensure pupils can learn an instrument, develop musical skills, increase confidence and take part in enriching cultural experiences across our region.

We offer specialist pathways in SEND music provision, SEMH Musical Nurture, digital music, singing, instrumental learning and youth ensembles—ensuring that every young person can access high‑quality music education, whatever their needs or starting points.
